Dr. Marek is a great doctor!
I've been with Midwest Heart 40 plus years. I miss Dr. X. Their will never be another doctor like him though I'm very happy with Dr. Marek.
Dr. Marek is, as always, excellent. He is organized, efficient, and professional. He is positive and encouraging. While he is careful about the amount of time spent in the exam room with me I never feel rushed.
The front desk and check out staff are very indifferent and frequently make me feel like patients are bothering them. They are not good ambassadors of the cardiovascular or Advocate brand.

Dr Joe Marek knows his stuff.
Dr Joseph Marek is my regular cardiologist. He is very smart. He is thorough (i.e. he covers all the bases during our office visits). He volunteers his time to check high school students in the Chicago area who may be in danger of unknown heart disease. He is easy to talk with. And he is kind and warm-hearted. (It makes good sense that as a cardiologist he is warm-hearted. The two go together.)
Dr. Marek is always very informative and pleasant to talk with. I trust him completely with my healthcare. He also has a positive attitude and a great sense of humor!

Regarding questions about procedure - this is a routine procedure that is required for my cardiac condition so I do not have a reason to question or discuss it further with Dr. Marek. I consider Dr. Marek to be efficient, respectful, takes the time to listen if I have issues or questions and is an expert in his field.
I have been treated by Dr. Marek for years and I have no complaints. I have confidence in him and his staff. The support staff, the nursing staff - have always been professional and respectful as has Dr. Marek himself.
Dr Marek by far is the very best physician I have ever seen. listens to what I say, asks relevant questions & very caring. I hope to find a primary care physician who could come close to Dr Marek's caliber.

Dr. Marek is excellent. He has always been so thorough and goes above and beyond educating me on my condition and expressing to me the pros and cons of all different kinds of testing and medications, diet and physical exercise. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a cardiologist. He not only has been excellent to me, but also my husband and daughter when cardiology issues have arisen. Advocate is very lucky to have him as one of their physicians.

I need to have my aortic valve replaced. I think it would be helpful if there would be a packet or handout that would. Give details on the procedure and how to proceed other than the verbal conversation regarding. Verbally it's a lot of information to absorb and try to understand.
Overall the visit was good - the nurse was excellent & Dr. Marek is excellent. Very pleased.

Dr. Joseph Marek is an amazing doctor...kind, patient and very knowledgeable. He is able to communicate clearly and calmly which is important to a nervous patient.
He is the most approachable Dr I have ever had. I have always believed he really cares about me and my health in a personal way. Not just any patient. There is no way he could possibly be more caring and concerned.
He has always gone out of his way to help me in any way he possibly could. That care and concern goes for all the folks on his team also. I have never had any issue at all with the folks there.
Dr. Marek is always very thorough and willing to answer my questions - his nurse is very courteous and covers all the concerns I may have.
The front desk has become very unprofessional - will not stand up to speak and are hard to understand. The woman on thew right asked questions I felt were inappropriate. The phone service is not professional.

I had a bad EKG reading compared to previous one. Dr. Marek was all over it and tests that needed to be done, called promptly with results and next steps. Unbelievable care and concern.
